After the outbreak of World War II Richard joined the Navy and participated in the invasion of North Africa. In his absence his wife, Frances, ran the Agency. Frances was an exceptional business woman who found her niche in the insurance industry. Through her talents and dedication the Agency flourished. This was no small accomplishment as the country was emerging from the Great Depression and women in business at that time were not readily accepted.

He was also one of the founders of the Huntington Station Kiwanis Club. By representing a number of insurance companies, and also providing expert, individualized personal service, Kenneth was able to provide the public with competitive rates and policies tailored to their specific needs.
